After approximately one year of construction, the Diaverum Kidney Center Hamburg Wandsbek will open its doors on April 1, 2026. The new facility will consolidate the treatments previously provided at the centers located at Alter Teichweg 59-61 and Alphonsstraße 4.

With the move to the new building at Am Stadtrand 54-56a, Diaverum Germany is consolidating its dialysis services at a modern location and creating improved spatial and technical conditions for the care of patients with chronic kidney disease. The new building was completed in 2025 and 2026 and features bright, spacious treatment rooms as well as state-of-the-art medical equipment.

“With the new location in Hamburg-Wandsbek, we are creating a modern and pleasant treatment environment for our patients,” explains Frank Gotsmann, Managing Director of Diaverum Germany. “At the same time, the new facilities enable optimized processes and good working conditions for our employees.”

Klaus Beyersdorf, Area Manager North for Diaverum Germany, adds: “We are proud to raise the standard of care for our patients. With our new kidney center, we are taking an important step forward in the care of dialysis patients in Hamburg.”

The Diaverum Kidney Center Hamburg Wandsbek has 92 dialysis stations, divided among four specialized dialysis areas. Additionally, a nephrology outpatient clinic is integrated, expanding the range of medical services.

With the new opening, Diaverum is also creating significantly improved working conditions for over 100 employees. Spacious and functionally designed premises, modern medical technology, expanded lounge and social areas, and optimized infrastructure provide a noticeable reduction in the daily workload. The new location also offers better accessibility and facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration within the team.

The center will officially open on April 1, 2026.
